Fracking Topic of Earth Day Event at Sandisfield Arts Center

fracking(SANDISFIELD, Mass.) – Bruce Winn, of the Berkshire Environmental Action Team, and Rose Wessel, representing the Massachusetts grassroots organization No Fracked Gas, will review the proposed expansion of gas pipelines in Massachusetts in a special “Earth Day” event at the Sandisfield Arts Center on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 1p.m.

The presentations will educate participants about the many problems associated with “fracking.” Following the presentation, there will be a screening of “Gaslands,” a documentary film about natural gas drilling.

There is a suggested donation of $5 for the event and tickets are available online at Sandisfield Arts Center or at the door. The Sandisfield Arts Center is located at 5 Hammertown Road, off Route 57, in Sandisfield. It is a non-profit organization recognized by the Massachusetts Historical Commission and the National Trust for use as a performing arts center.
