(HUDSON, N.Y.) – San Francisco-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Sean Hayes brings his band and his rootsy sound to Club Helsinki Hudson on Saturday, October 4, at 9pm. Durham, N.C.-based dreampop duo Eric and Erica will warm up the crowd for Hayes as well as perform with him in his trio.

Born in New York City the week after the original Woodstock Music and Arts Festival took place, Hayes must have absorbed the vibes and sound emanating from upstate. He was then raised in North Carolina, where he received his grounding in traditional American and Irish music, which can be heard in his contemporary mix of folk, blues, soul, and rock.

Hayes’s songs have been covered by artists including Be Good Tanyas and Blame Sally, and have appeared in TV shows including “Kyle XY,” “Parenthood,” and “Brothers & Sister,” as well as in Subaru commercials.
