(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – Award-winning songwriter Joe Iconis returns to Barrington Stage Company with his popular cabaret, Joe Iconis & Family: Outcast Superstars, for three performances on September 4, 5 and 6, 2015, at 8pm, at Mr. Finn’s Cabaret at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield.

The popular Joe Iconis, who won over audiences as the composer and lyricist of “The Black Suits” and his previous BSC sold-out cabarets, will present an evening of sly, mischievous, toe-tapping songs. Iconis and his band – Molly Hager, Lauren Marcus, Eric William Morris and Will Roland – return to Barrington this year for an intimate evening of Iconis old and new tunes.

Songs by Joe Iconis are featured on Season 2 of NBC’s “Smash.”

A composer, lyricist and bookwriter, Iconis has authored the musicals Be More Chill, Annie Golden: Bounty Hunter, Yo!, Bloodsong of Love, The Black Suits, ReWrite, The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks and We The People.

His concert act, Joe Iconis and Family, frequently plays The Beechman Theater, 54 Below, and Joe’s Pub.  The original cast recording of Joe’s theatrical rock concert Things to Ruin is out on Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight records.

Iconis has been nominated for two Drama Desk Awards, a Lucille Lortel Award, and is the recipient of an Ed Kleban Award, a Jonathan Larson Award, and a Doris Duke Grant.

Tickets to Joe Iconis & Family are $30 with reserved cabaret seating.  Beer, wine and soda are available.

Mr. Finn’s Cabaret is named after William Finn, the Tony Award-winning composer of Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Artistic Producer of BSC’s Musical Theatre Lab.

Mr. Finn’s Cabaret is located on the lower level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield. Joe Iconis & Family: Outcast Superstars performance dates/times are Friday, September 4, Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 at 8pm.  To purchase tickets ($30) or for more information, call the Barrington Stage Box Office at 413-236-8888 or visit Barrington Stage Company.
