(NORTH ADAMS, Mass.) — Benjamin Clementine — the uncategorizable London-based singer-poet, pianist, and composer who won England’s coveted Mercury Prize for his 2015 debut album, “At Least for Now,” gives a solo concert in the Hunter Center at MASS MoCA on Saturday, October 15, at 8:30pm. The concert culminates activities surrounding the opening of artist Nick Cave’s exhibition, ““Until,” and Clementine is performing at the behest of Cave himself.

NICK CAVE’S SITE-SPECIFIC ‘UNTIL’ TAKES OVER MASS MoCA

(NORTH ADAMS, Mass.) — Nick Cave, the artist known for his wearable sculptures called Soundsuits, turns expectations inside out at MASS MoCA in “Until,” a massive immersive installation opening on Saturday, October 15, with a reception from 5:30pm to 7pm. The opening reception features a performance in the exhibition space by Shreveport, La., musicians Brenda Wimberly and Sereca Henderson. Following the reception, Mercury Prize-winning singer-poet-pianist Benjamin Clementine performs in the Hunter Center at MASS MoCA at 8:30pm.

(GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass.) – The Russian String Orchestra, formerly known as the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, will perform works by Haydn, Tchaikovsky, and Shostakovich to kick off the 25th anniversary season of the Close Encounters With Music Series at the Mahaiwe on Saturday, October 15, at 6pm. The program includes Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, Shostakovich’s 8th String Quartet, and Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C, featuring CEWM founder, artistic director and cellist Yehuda Hanani.
