Jomama Jones

(CATSKILL, N.Y.) – Mythical, mystical dance diva Jomama Jones – a creation of performance artist Daniel Alexander Jones – headlines the March Party, a fundraiser for Lumberyard Contemporary Performing Arts, at Joe’s Garage in Catskill on Saturday, March 18, at 6pm. The event includes food, drink, and dancing to the electro-funk sounds of Jomama Jones and her band.

Interdisciplinary artist Daniel Alexander Jones describes his work as “Afromysticism.” Jomama Jones’s “Radiate,” which premiered at Soho Rep in 2011, was a critic’s pick of the New York Times, Time Out New York, and the New Yorker. Jones was named a recipient of the Doris Duke Artist Award in 2015, received the Alpert Award in the Arts, and was an inaugural Creative Capital Artist.
