(WOODSTOCK, N.Y.) – Singers Amy Helm and Simi Stone top an all-star lineup of regional talent taking part in UNITY NOW! An All American Sock Hop, an anti-bigotry benefit concert at the Colony on Sunday, June 11, at 7pm. Based around a rollicking set of extraordinary danceable 1950s hits, the event is a celebration of diversity and equality, presented by students at the Paul Green Rock Academy.

Other artists include superstar bassist Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie, Gang of Four), superstar drummer Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Orleans, Hall & Oates), Zach Djanikian (the Brakes), Connor Kennedy, Robin the Hammer, Dan Littleton, and Bill Sims.

UNITY NOW is in part a response to an anti-Semitic bullying incident that took place earlier this year in Saugerties, as well as an artistic endeavor for the students of PGRA, along with their friends and professional musicians in the Hudson Valley community, to stamp out intolerable hate speech in our area and beyond.
As artists, the students and guest musicians are proud to lead by example, and hope all will come out and support their efforts, with concert proceeds going to the Anti-Defamation League upstate chapter and local school districts to bring in supplemental anti-bigotry educational programming as needed to help eradicate hate and promote UNITY NOW!
