Berkshire Theatre Group Won’t Begin Summer 2020 Season Before August

(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – Berkshire Theatre Group will not begin its summer 2020 season before August 1 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

As of now, BTG is planning to open its 2020 season on Saturday, August 1, with a staging of the iconic rock musical Godspell at the Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge.

 

The next weekend, the Unicorn Theatre will open its season on Saturday, August 8, with the musical comedy They’re Playing Our Song by Neil Simon, Marvin Hamlisch, and Carole Bayer Sager.

 

Other spring and summer shows previously announced will be postponed, with dates to be determined.

 

BTG presents programming at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield and at the old Berkshire Theatre Festival campus in Stockbridge, Mass.
