Alchemy Initiative Selling Raffle Tickets for Art Bags Valued in Thousands

(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – Art bags filled with handmade gifts valued in the thousands of dollars are among the prizes being offered in a raffle as part of Alchemy Initiative’s fourth annual holiday craft fair, Handmade Holiday Festival. Raffle tickets for a chance to win one of two ART BAGS are priced at $10 per ticket.

Handmade Holiday Festival artists are donating handmade wares to fill the art bags. Diane Firtell, a co-founder of the organization, is donating a custom house portrait valued at $1,200. The list of artist’s contributions includes an original painting by Beverly Bourassa; framed photographs and signed copies of I Live in Stockbridge from Susan Geller; matted acrylics by Ali Herrmann; butterfly pocket mirrors by Popko Shop; recycled glass candy dish by Burlington Community Glass Studio; a 12-piece box of designer chocolates by H.R. Zeppelin; a handmade ‘critter’ by Biscuitbones Dolls and Critters; silkscreened t-shirts from Dottie’s Coffee Lounge; a boxed set of holiday cards by Laurie Coyle Designs; pendants by Elena Loves; a set of flower magnets by The Petal Collection; healing salve from Wake Robin Botanicals; Arty Party lipstick from Miss Hall’s School’s Arty Party, and more.

In addition, the person who buys or sells the most raffle tickets will win a $50 gift card to Mission Bar + Tapas. Tickets will be sold until December 2, 2012.

§  Masonic Temple (116 South Street, Pittsfield) on December 1 and 2, 10 am – 5 pm at the Handmade Holiday Festival

§  Dottie’s Coffee Lounge (444 North St., Pittsfield) now until December 2.

§  Gallery 25 (25 Union St., Pittsfield – home of Mary’s Carrot Cake) throughout the month of November during gallery hours

§  Berkshire Museum gift shop (39 South St., Pittsfield) each Saturday in November from 12 – 5 pm  at the Pop-up Trunk Shows featuring HHF artists

This year’s Handmade Holiday Festival, taking place at Masonic Temple, 116 South Street, Pittsfield, on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday December 2, 2012; 10 am to 5 pm, will feature over 30 juried artists and designers from greater New England. From traditional to cutting edge, shoppers are sure to find an original gift for everyone on their list. Shoppers can expect an exceptional array of handmade wares ranging from jewelry, ceramics, and stationery, to silk-screened t-shirts, wreaths and more
