(LENOX, Mass.) – A dinner honoring the American Masters of Tennis team headed to Israel in July to participate in the 19th World Maccabiah Games, will be held at Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 7 pm. Bob Litwin, motivational speaker and head coach of the USA Grand Masters Tennis Team and NBA Hall of Famer Dolph Schayes will be special guests at the event.

“This will be a great opportunity for the Berkshire community to wish the team the best in the coming games in Israel,” noted event co-chair Dan Burack.  “It will be a fun evening where we’ll meet the Grand Masters, watch videos of past games and learn more about this inspirational group of senior athletes,” said co-chair Marty Bloom.  The event will also include raffle prizes such as tickets to the Super Bowl and the NCAA Final Four Championship Game.

Maccabi USA, which is hosting the dinner, endeavors through sports to perpetuate and preserve the American- Jewish community by encouraging Jewish pride, strengthening Jewish bonds and by creating a heightened awareness of Israel and Jewish identity.  Tickets for the dinner, which includes cocktails with open bar, are $125 per person and must be reserved by calling Cranwell Resort, 800.272.6935 or by email sales@cranwell.com
