(EGREMONT, Mass.) – The townsfolk of Egremont will stage a Civil War homecoming and picnic basket celebration on the Egremont Village Inn lawn on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at noon. Many of the townspeople will be adopting real biographies of Egremont Civil War soldiers, their wives and families for the event, and are bringing picnic foods from that era – fried chicken, baked beans, pickles and cake.

Rain date is July 28.

Everyone is invited, whether as a 1800s townsperson or a visitor from 2013.
