Chamber-Folk Trio Plume Giant to Play MASS MoCA

Plume Giant(NORTH ADAMS, Mass.) – Plume Giant, the Brooklyn-based chamber-folk trio that favors pop melodies, a miniature orchestra of sounds and textures, and Beatlesque whimsy, performs in Club B-10 at MASS MoCA on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 8pm. Comprised of Oliver Hill (guitar, viola, voice), Nolan Green (guitar, harmonium, voice), and Eliza Bagg (violin, harmonium, trinkets, voice), the band infuses its sound with soft whispers and vaulting vocals to achieve both intimacy and exaltation.

Formed on the campus of Yale University, Plume Giant released its first full-length album, Callithump, in the summer of 2012. In the past year the group shared stages with the likes of Lucius, Field Report, Tall Trees, the David Wax Museum, and Kishi Bashi.  The group’s eclectic approach has drawn comparisons to Bowerbirds, Dirty Projectors, Sea Wolf, and Dan Hicks.
