Devon AllmanBLUES-ROCK SCION DEVON ALLMAN BRINGS BAND to HELSINKI HUDSON

(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Devon Allman, son of Greg Allman, brings his own brand of bluesy guitar-rock to Club Helsinki Hudson on Thursday, December 19, at 8pm. Allman has appeared at Helsinki previously with his band, Royal Southern Brotherhood; he will be fronting the Devon Allman Band for this performance. (HUDSON, N.Y.) – Folk-rock singer-songwriter Teddy Thompson brings his glistening tenor vocals and his exquisitely hewn melodies and lyrics to Club Helsinki Hudson on Friday, December 20, at 9pm. The only son of British folk-rock legends Richard and Linda Thompson, Teddy Thompson has carved out his own niche as a singer and songwriter, which presumably is why Elton John chose him as the opening act on one of his tours. Nevertheless, Thompson’s work recalls a panoply of forerunners and influences, including Roy Orbison, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, Buddy Holly, and, of course, Richard and Linda Thompson.
