Lydian String Quartet to Play Schubert, Ravel, Shostakovich at Music & More

Lydian String Quartet v(NEW MARLBOROUGH, Mass.) – The Lydian String Quartet will play works by Schubert, Ravel, and Shostakovich at the New Marlborough Meeting House on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 4:30pm, as part of the Music & More series.

Winners of the Naumburg Award for chamber music, the Lydian String Quartet is Daniel Stepner and Judith Eissenberg, violin; Mark Berger, viola; and Joshua Gordon, cello. The numbers they will perform include Franz Schubert’s Quartet No. 13 in A minor, Op. 29, D. 80, “Rosamunde”; Maurice Ravel’s Quartet in F major; and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 8 in C minor, Op. 110. Free pre-concert talk at 3:30 pm.
