(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – The current touring lineup of country-rock outfit Pure Prairie League will bring its peaceful, easy feeling to the Colonial on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 8pm. Best known for the band’s 1973 hit, “Amie,” the group personified the soft-rock sound of the early 1970s.
Pure Prairie League’s eponymous first album used a Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post cover featuring a trail-worn cowboy who would appear on the cover of every one of the group’s recordings thereafter. Vince Gill auditioned for the group in 1978.
Tickets to Pure Prairie League are on sale now for $70, $50, and $30. Contact the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield by calling 413-997-4444. Tickets can also be purchased online at the Colonial. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain.
