(GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass.) – An unprecedented cast reunion and screening of “National Lampoon’s Animal House,” the classic 1978 comedy directed by John Landis and starring the late John Belushi, will take place at the Mahaiwe on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 7pm, in a presentation by the Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF). Cast members expected to attend the reunion include Karen Allen (Katy), Peter Riegert (Donald), Mark Metcalf (Neidermeier), Martha Smith (Babs), Jaime Widdows (Hoover), Deborah Nadoolman Landis, Judy Belushi and Otis Day, for a fun Q&A and a performance by Otis Day following the screening.
The BIFF weekend of Hollywood glamour kicks off with “Hollywood Costume,” a presentation by Academy Award-nominated costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis at the Mahaiwe on Friday, April 24, at 7pm. Landis will present a behind the scenes look into “costume as character” and the magical relationship between costume designers and filmmakers.
In her presentation of “Hollywood Costume,” Deborah Nadoolman Landis explores the central role of costume design – from the glamorous to the very subtle – as an essential tool of cinema storytelling. It illuminates the costume designer’s creative process from script to screen and reveals the collaborative dialogue that leads to the invention of authentic people within the story.

Tickets to the “Animal House” screening at the Mahaiwe are $25 and can be purchased online at the Mahaiwe. The screening and Q&A will be followed by an exclusive after-hours party with the Berkshire International Film Festival and the cast hosted by a BIFF Board Member at their private residence.
