(HUDSON, N.Y.) – The Late Regulars, a new jazz trio featuring three of the Hudson area’s finest instrumental and improvisational talents, will perform their mix of original compositions and renditions by great jazz composers of the 1960s and ‘70s at Club Helsinki Hudson on Monday, June 8, at 8pm.
Drummer Otto Hauser, bassist Terence Murren, and pianist Tony Kieraldo play post-bop jazz and original compositions that fit right in with tunes by Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Sam Rivers and Ornette Coleman. Reviewing their recent debut at Helsinki Hudson, local music critic Seth Rogovoy wrote, “Those who were there witnessed the birth of something cool. Very cool.”
This event represents part of Helsinki Hudson’s commitment to presenting the best in regional and rising talent, as well as alternative styles of music not ordinarily programmed by mainstream music venues.
