(NORTH ADAMS, Mass.) – Virtuosic Gypsy swing guitarist Stephane Wrembel performs with his quartet in the Dré Wapenaar Pavilion at MASS MoCA on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 8pm. Wrembel has been called the second coming of Django Reinhardt – a fretboard wizard who embellishes the hot jazz of the 1930s with flourishes of world music to create a sound all his own.
Born in Paris and educated at Berklee College of Music, Wrembel wrote the theme song to Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” has performed at the Academy Awards, and is a dazzling performer.
Tickets are available through the MASS MoCA box office located on Marshall Street in North Adams, every day from 10am to 6pm, with extended evening hours to 7pm Thursdays through Saturdays. Tickets can also be charged by phone by calling 413.662.2111 x1 during box office hours or purchased online at MASS MoCA.
