Parking is available adjacent to Proctors; the show is open to the public and admission is free.

The Electric City Couture Fashion Show was founded in 2010 to connect original couture by regional designers with local retailers, to build a regional fashion economy.

Hudson couturier Vilma Maré’s Sartorial Goods collection, which the Columbia Paper called “feminine but powerful hand-sewn fashions with their hallmark web of exposed seams crisscrossing the body, inspired as much by Rei Kawakubo and Jil Sander as by [Maré’s] Baltic roots,” will be available September 2013 at deMarchin, 620 Warren Street, Hudson, N.Y., and at Karen Allen Fiber Arts, 8 Railroad Street, Great Barrington, Mass.
