Performance Artist Jeanine Durning Brings ‘inging’ to Williams College

jeanine durning(WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.) – Movement artist Jeanine Durning brings her solo performance experiment, inging, to the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance’s Directing Studio at Williams College on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, and Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 8pm both nights. The program is being presented as part of the ’62 Center’s Off-CenterSeries, whose stated mission is “to challenge audiences with performing arts in unconventional frames.”

Durning’s inging is part spoken-word performance, part reverie, part dance, and part oral biography – “a choreography of the mind.” The title refers to the suffix “ing” in the English language. “ing” is used to express actions that are still in progress, that haven’t yet ended.

Admission is free; seating is limited.
