Stephen Kellogg Band Brings Original Folk-Rock to Club Helsinki Hudson

Stephen Kellogg v(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Folk-rock singer-songwriter Stephen Kellogg returns to Club Helsinki Hudson on Thursday, March 6, at 8pm, for the final swing of his “All Love, Future’s Bright” tour with the Stephen Kellogg Band, celebrating the release of his ninth studio album, “Blunderstone Rookery.”

Kellogg got his start in the thriving new-folk scene of Northampton, Mass., while attending nearby UMass-Amherst. He independently released several solo albums before being signed to Universal Records in 2004. For ten years, he toured and recorded with his band, the Sixers, before putting the group on hiatus and bringing new musicians on board for the Americana-flavored “Blunderstone Rookery.” (The title comes from the boyhood home of his favorite character in his favorite book, “David Copperfield.”)

Kellogg credits his father’s record collection, “from Jim Croce and Cat Stevens to Eagles and The Band,” for being a major influence on his style. He calls Tom Petty his favorite artist. Kellogg will likely appeal to fans of any of those acts.

For reservations in The Restaurant or in the club call 518.828.4800.
