Melora Creager to Accompany Silent Movie with Original Music at TSL

(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Melora Creager, founder and leader of indie-rock band Rasputina, will perform her original score to the silent film classic, “A Trip to The Moon,” with her band, the Calico Indians, featuring Ryder Cooley and other regional musicians, at TSL on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 8pm. Additionally, Patrick Higgins (Z’s), John Rosenthal, Aron Sanchez (Buke and Gase) and Saviour Self (Colin LaClair and Logan Visscher) will perform their improvised score to “The Cabinet of Dr. Calgari.”

“A Trip to the Moon” was one of the earliest films, directed by George Meliés in 1902, with a running time of 15 minutes.. “The Cabinet of Dr. Calgari” was directed by Robert Wiene in 1920, and runs 71 minutes.

Admission is $10; sliding scale.
