(WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.) — The Clark’s Stone Hill Terrace Café has been honored with Yankee magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award for “Best Museum Lunch Spot.” Offering a stunning view of the Berkshires, the Stone Hill Café is open seasonally for lunch, weather permitting. Outdoor patio-style seating is available on the terrace overlooking the Taconic Range and the Green Mountains.

This summer, the Clark’s chef Steve Wilkinson has designed a menu with a French twist inspired by the Clark’s Pissarro’s People exhibition. Special sandwiches include the Croque-Monsieur Panini (Gruyère cheese and ham) and the Mona Lisa’s Smile (fresh mozzarella, tomato, prosciutto, grilled red peppers, baby arugula, and fresh basil aioli on ciabatta). The menu also features a selection of soups, salads, and desserts, including freshly baked scones and cookies. The café is open daily from June 24 to September 6, 11:30 am–2:30 pm, and light snacks and beverages are served until 3:30. In the fall, the café is open on weekends only from September 11 to October 10, 11:30 am to 2:30.

In addition to the Stone Hill Terrace Café, the Clark has a variety of dining options, offering everything from a gourmet restaurant, a picnic on the grass, or a quick snack.

The Clark Café offers full-service dining with a special lunch menu, along with beer and wine. Featured entrées include Pissarro’s Picnic (Pâté de Campagne, serrano ham, brie and Tomme de Savoie cheese, olives, lentil salad, ratatouille, and baguette), Maine Crab Cakes, and a selection of grilled pizzas, among other items. Desserts include crème brûlée and chocolate mousse. The Café is open daily from June 24 to September 6, 11:30 am–2:30 pm.

The Courtyard Coffee Cart in the Manton Research Center features an à la carte menu of sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. Beverages include cold drinks and juices, coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tea, and hot chocolate. The coffee cart is open year-round during museum hours with courtyard seating available, or for carry-out service.

Visitors are welcome to bring or purchase a picnic to enjoy on The Clark’s beautiful campus. The museum offers picnic-to-go baskets, featuring a delicious array of casual foods. Menu cards are available at the Information Desk or at the Courtyard Coffee Cart; visitors may simply make their lunch selections and submit their orders, and a custom picnic lunch will be ready at the specified time. Picnic tables are situated throughout the grounds and a large, tented picnic pavilion adjacent to the west entrance is available from June through October.

The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August).
