A year ago today, January 15, 2012, my grandmother, Rose Schiff Peretz, breathed her last breath here on Earth, and went off to be reunited with her husband, Bernard Peretz – whom she hadn’t seen since he passed away in January 1981 – and my mother, Stella Peretz Rogovoy, who predeceased her by several years. My grandmother was a real character, as you can see in this photo from 2010.
