PAUL MCCARTNEY’S ‘ROCKSHOW’ to SCREEN at THE CLARK
(WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.) — The Paul McCartney and Wings concert film Rockshow will be screened at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute on Friday, September 13, 2013, at 7pm. Filmed during Wings’ landmark 1975-1976 Wings Over America tour the new version of the concert film, documenting a portion of the concert at Seattle’s Kingdome and first released in 1980, includes the complete concert and is fully restored from the original 35mm film with remastered sound. Rockshow captures Wings at its peak, including live versions of such massive hit records as “Silly Love Songs,” “Let ‘em In,” “Listen to What the Man Said,” “Jet,” and “Band on the Run.” It also features McCartney performing a few Beatles songs.

DAWN UPSHAW KICKS OFF RECITAL SERIES at BARD
(ANNANDALE-on-HUDSON, N.Y.) – Grammy Award–winning soprano Dawn Upshaw kicks off the popular Conservatory Sundays fall matinee concert series at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at 3 p.m. “Dawn Upshaw and Friends” features Gilbert Kalish, piano; and Nicole Divall, viola; with singers from the Bard Conservatory: Ariadne Greif ’10, Clarissa Lyons ’11, Kameryn Lueng ’13, Marie Marquis ’13, Melissa Wegner ’08, and Ilana Zarankin ’11. TINA PACKER AND ELIZABETH ASPENLIEDER FACE OFF IN DARK IRISH COMEDY AT SHAKESPEARE & COMPANY
(LENOX, Mass.) – The Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh, starring Shakespeare & Company founder Tina Packer and critically acclaimed company actor Elizabeth Aspenlieder, runs in the Bernstein Theatre through September 15, 2013. Directed by Matthew Penn, making his company debut, The Beauty Queen of Leenane tracks the dysfunctional relationship between a mother and daughter who are locked in a dance of mutual loathing, which may prove more durable than any love.

ON THE TRAIL OF PAPER at BERKSHIRE MUSEUM
(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – Score another home run for Berkshire Museum for PaperWorks: The Art and Science of an Extraordinary Material, another in a series of original exhibitions that illuminates its subject in interdisciplinary fashion (employing history, science, and art in the great tradition of the museum) while making viewers see the most commonplace around them with new eyes. The show explores paper as a source of creative inspiration and innovation and features contemporary works of art by more than 30 artists, all made from paper, as well as an array of objects and artifacts that show the uses of paper in industry, science, fashion, and technology. PaperWorks is on view through October 26, 2013.
