(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Musical eccentric Brian Dewan and dance-pop artist Stephen Bluhm perform back-to-back sets at Spotty Dog Books & Ale on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 8pm.

Brian Dewan’s musical repertoire includes an autoharp mounted on a walker, songs about wastepaper basket fires, unlikely distortion pedal usage, and original and salvaged songs all showcasing a demented appreciation for the lesser seen quirks of existence. Based in Catskill, he is an accomplished artist in a number of mediums, including film, illustration, and the manufacture of unique electronic musical instruments.

Stephen Bluhm writes danceable pop in the vein of Morrissey, the Magnetic Fields, and Burt Bacharach. With his lush baritone, he sings wry ruminations on life and love. And dancing.

Spotty Dog Books & Ale is at 440 Warren Street in Hudson. All performances are all ages, and are $5 at the door. For more information call 518.671.6006.
