MATISYAHU BRINGS SPIRITUAL REGGAE-ROCK BACK to CLUB HELSINKI HUDSON
(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Almost a year to the day that he last performed there, Grammy Award-nominated reggae-rock performer Matisyahu brings his annual “Festival of Light” tour to Club Helsinki Hudson on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 8pm. Fresh from tours of Mexico, South America and Israel, the spiritual seeker and beat-boxing phenomenon will perform Hanukkah-themed songs as well as material spanning his entire career.

‘A CHRISTMAS CAROL’ RETURNS to the COLONIAL
(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol gets its eighth annual staging by Berkshire Theatre Group, presented for the third time at the Colonial Theatre, in a run from Saturday, December 14 through Sunday, December 29, 2013. The timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the infamous miser who is reformed and shown the error of his ways by four spirits, has fast become a Berkshire holiday tradition, mixing theater professionals with community members, including 28 Berkshire County children.

(NORTH ADAMS, Mass.) – Sonic Youth cofounder Kim Gordon brings her newest musical project, Body/Head — a Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd-inspired improvisational duo – to the Hunter Center at MASS MoCA on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 8pm. Joining Gordon will be Northampton-based free-noise guitarist Bill Nace.
