(GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass.) – Canadian indie-rock group Cowboy Junkies return to the Mahaiwe with a new batch of their patented alternative country/blues/folk rock songs on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 8pm. With its quiet, Velvet Underground-influenced drone-rock combined with a rootsy, country-folk approach, the Cowboy Junkies were one of the original bands to give birth to the 1990s genre that became known as “No Depression” or “alt-country.”

Tickets are $30 to $50. The Mahaiwe is located at 14 Castle Street in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Box office hours are Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 6:00pm and three hours before show times. A limited number of $15 tickets are available for patrons ages 30 and younger to all Mahaiwe-presented programs through the Mahaiwe ArtSmart Tix program.
