(WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.) – The Borromeo String Quartet will perform works by Bela Bartok in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus on Friday, April 11, 2014, at 8p.m. The ensemble will play three of the Hungarian composer’s string quartets: No. 2, 4, and 6. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Borromeo String Quartet includes Nicholas Kitchen and Kristopher Tong, violin; Mai Motobuchi, viola; and Yeesun Kim, cello. The Borromeo Quartet have received many awards throughout their 24 year career, including Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Career Grant, and Martin E. Segal Award, Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award, the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and top prize at the International String Quartet Competition in Evian, France.
