(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Two years ago this week, I moved from Great Barrington, Mass., to Hudson, N.Y.

Within the first week of moving here, two people were shot to death in an apartment a block-and-a-half from where I live, and I saw Peter Dinklage standing on a street corner two blocks down from my house.

And that, in some funny, simple way, says it all about life in Hudson.
