CJ Ramone(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – CJ Ramone, a former bassist and singer for the seminal punk-rock group the Ramones, will perform at Casey’s Billiards on Sunday May 18, 2014, at 7pm. This will mark Ramone’s second performance in the Berkshires and his touring band includes members of southern California’s the Adolescents. CJ Ramone is the artistic name of Christopher Joseph Ward, who joined the Ramones as bassist-singer in 1989, replacing founding member Dee Dee Ramone. The two remained friends, and when the Ramones disbanded in August 1996, the two played together in a band called the Ramainz, which was formed by Dee Dee Ramone, Marky Ramone and Dee Dee’s wife, Barbara Zampini. CJ also played with Axe Attack, Los Gusanos, and his last group effort was with Bad Chopper.

Advance tickets are $10 and are available at Casey’s Billiards, 501 Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield during regular business hours; at Toonerville Trolley, 131 Water Street in Williamstown; from members of the opening bands and online at www.brownpapertickets.com.
