(PITTSFIELD, Mass.) – Berkshire Theatre Group’s annual community production of Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol,” this year featuring 30 talented young Berkshire county actors many of whom are returning to the Colonial Theatre and some who are performing for the first time, runs through December 22 at the Colonial Theatre.
This year’s production includes 44 local actors. Eric Hill will return as director and in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, and associate education artist Travis G. Daly, co-directs. Returning BTG company members include Madeline Calandrillo, Courtney McLaren, Kathy Jo Grover, Rylan Morsbach, Ralph Petillo, Brian Plouffe, Gail Ryan, E. Gray Simons III, Tom Towne, Christopher-Michael Vecchia. Berkshire Theatre Group’s artists-in-residence Kelly Lamanna and Hayley Barnes with 30 Berkshire County children join the community cast.
A Christmas Carol celebrates the joy and redemptive power of Christmas as told in the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the infamous miser who is shown the error of his ways and reformed by four spirits.
Tickets to “A Christmas Carol” are $27 for children 16 and under and $37 for adults. Contact the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield by calling 413-997-4444. Tickets can also be purchased online at Berkshire Theatre Group. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain.
