(KINGSTON, N.Y.) – Heartland rocker Melissa Etheridge sheds the trappings of her full complement of musicians to perform as solo show at the Bardavon on Sunday, June 14 at 7pm, as part of her “Melissa Etheridge: This is M.E Solo” tour. When I first saw Etheridge perform solo in a small concert hall in Lenox, Mass., I felt like I was witnessing the second coming of Bruce Springsteen, and indeed, in the 1990s, Etheridge developed a fanatical fan base that eventually saw her headlining arena and shed tours with a powerful band that rivaled the E Street Band.
The Academy Award- and Grammy Award-winning artist will perform songs from her new album, “This is M.E.,” as well as some of her greatest hits like “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs,” “Ain’t It Heavy,” “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window.”
Known for her iconic voice, profound lyrics and riveting stage presence; Etheridge will share personal stories about her remarkable journey through life and the inspiration behind some of her most beloved songs. This is a rare chance to experience her power in an intimate solo show at the Bardavon.
