(SHEFFIELD, Mass.) – Singer-songwriter Amber Wolfe and artist-scientist Jarrod Fowler bring their unique fusion of folk and electronic music with field recordings gathered from nature to the Down County Social Club beneath the Stagecoach Tavern on Thursday, February 2, at 8pm.
On her own, Amber Wolfe, from Northampton, is a singer-songwriter with raw, honeyed vocals accompanied by minimal guitar. Wolfe composes in the Americana tradition and performs with jazz-inspired improvisation. Wolfe released her debut EP, “I Left the City,” in 2016.
Jarrod Fowler is an artist-scientist working with environmental sound and insect conservation.
Together, the duo creates music with acoustic-electric archtop, vocals, cassettes, field recordings, natural objects, sampler, and synthesizer.
The Down County Social Club beneath the Stagecoach Tavern is at 864 S. Undermountain Rd. (Rt 41) in Sheffield, Mass.
