Alana Massey, Kris D’Agostino and Cynthia Huntington to Read at Spotty Dog in Volume Series

Alana Massey

(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Writers Alana Massey, Kris D’Agostino and Cynthia Huntington will read from their works at Spotty Dog Books & Ale on Saturday, March 11, at 7pm, as part of Volume, the free monthly reading and music series every second Saturday of the month. The readings will be followed by book-signing and a set by DJ Peter Aaron.

Alana Massey is the author of “All The Lives I Want” and regular columnist at the Guardian, Elle, New York, Hazlitt, and more. She splits her time between her home in the Catskills and Brooklyn. She loves books, cats, glitter, and One Direction. The Observer writes about her, “Alana Massey is rightfully hailed as one of the sharpest voices today. When she’s writing about women and pop culture, there’s no one I’d rather read.”

Kris D’Agostino

Kris D’Agostino is the author of “The Antiques” and “The Sleepy Hollow Family Almanac.” He is a Pushcart Prize nominee and a Glimmer Train fiction open finalist. He holds an MFA in creative writing from the New School and lives in Brooklyn.

Cynthia Huntington’s newest work is a book-length poem in many voices, titled “Terra Nova.” Her previous volume, “Heavenly Bodies,” was a National Book Award finalist. A Guggenheim Fellow in Poetry, Huntington teaches at Dartmouth College and Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Volume is hosted and curated by Hallie Goodman and Dani Grammerstorf French.
