Seth Rogovoy is offering live multimedia previews of the Summer 2019 Berkshire cultural scene, encompassing the region’s abundance of theater, classical and popular music, dance, and visual arts.
Every summer, Berkshire cultural venues expand their programming, making it nearly impossible for any one individual to navigate the exciting maze of what is happening around the region. This year, Seth Rogovoy will serve as your guide through the cultural thickets with a multimedia overview of what is happening on the area’s stages, offering tips on what events to look out for at Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, MASS MoCA, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Barrington Stage Company, Shakespeare & Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, the Clark, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and at a host of other venues.
The program – perfect for cultural associations, libraries, book clubs, alumni groups, adult education, senior living facilities, as well as for private, home-based groups and individuals — will include audio and video clips of artists who will be performing in the region. By advance arrangement, programs can be tailored specifically to the geographic and cultural preferences of the potential audience.
For over 30 years in his capacity as a cultural critic at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, Berkshire Living Magazine, the Berkshire Eagle, and the Rogovoy Report, Seth Rogovoy has been the most active observer and critic of the entirety of the Berkshires’ cultural offerings. Seth has previewed and reviewed all forms of performing and visual arts at all the region’s cultural venues, from the best known to the smallest, lesser-known gems.
Seth will also be offering a Hudson Valley-based version of the program, previewing offerings at SPAC, PS21, Bard Summerscape, Club Helsinki Hudson, Hudson Hall, Lumberyard, Olana, the Thomas Cole Museum, and the region’s many other cultural attractions.
