Castle Street Cafe Dinner Recipients Announced

Castle Street Cafe(GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass., February 3, 2014) – Dyan Wiley, Brad Wagstaff, Aleisha Gibbons and Gabrielle Senza are the generous contributors to the Rogovoy Report who will enjoy free dinners for two at Castle Street Café.

Following immediately upon January’s promotion, a very exciting giveaway for February contributors from Blantyre Luxury Country House Hotel will be announced on Tuesday, February 4.

Last month, the much-beloved Castle Street Café offered the opportunity for contributors to the Rogovoy Report to enjoy a free dinner for two – with the option to dine with Seth Rogovoy — as a way to thank the community for its support of the Rogovoy Report’s curated e-newsletters and online stories it provides free to all.

The restaurant, which has sourced its menu extensively from local farms and purveyors since long before “farm-to-table” became a buzzword, has garnered praise and critical acclaim from media outlets ranging from the New York Times and the Boston Globe to Food & Wine and Wine Spectator as well as Yankee Magazine and Rural Intelligence. Castle Street offers two menus – a dinner menu and a pub menu served in its Celestial Bar, which features live jazz several nights a week. Chef-owner Michael Ballon is the author of the Castle Street Café cookbook; his columns appear in several local publications; and he is a frequent guest on WAMC Northeast Public Radio.

The commitment to local products and service is evident in the dining experience at Castle Street Café, as well as in Michael Ballon’s generous offer to reward contributors to the Rogovoy Report with the bounty of his kitchen.

Castle Street Café is located at 10 Castle Street in Great Barrington, right next door to the Mahaiwe Theatre.
